Thank you to everyone who has supported me — and even those who haven't, because that too pushed me to grow every day. Thank you to my children who follow in my footsteps of perseverance. Despite being in a country with a different language, I have worked hard every single day to adapt. It hasn't been easy, but I keep going and always will — with God leading the way.
My path has not been easy. I've had to start from the bottom and work very hard to move forward. I've sold tamales, Tupperware, and Princess House. I've worked as a waitress, making tortillas, washing dishes, cleaning houses and offices, and babysitting.
I also had to fight as a single mother of 5 children, always finding a way to keep going, to give them the best, and to show them that no matter what obstacles life puts in front of us, we must never stop fighting for our dreams.
With a lot of effort and sacrifice, I paid for my own Cosmetology and Barbering career. I studied, worked, and persevered until I earned my two professional licenses — because I knew that one day all that effort would be rewarded.
